Many dogs can be considered a “flight risk”, especially after the rather stressful event of moving to a new home. Be aware of the risk and mitigate it through good planning: don’t let a new dog off leash, avoid stressful events and sounds that might trigger bolting, and start training a good “coming when called” behaviour sooner rather than later.
