Some came out with some pus but most of them were painful foreign bodies. There is no black ointment available in Nepal, so it was impossible to remove the deeper thorns. Within 3 weeks I was able to bring out nearly all of the old thorns, I only put the ointment on 2 paws at the same time.
I also administered carprofen and amoxicillin and gave daily massage of his back with stretching his cramped muscles. He is much better now but is 9 years old and retired. He still enjoys training session though!
